From the Runways to Everyday: Style for your life from mine.

It’s the time of year where you’re wandering aimlessly through shops because you don’t have the first clue what to buy your friend/sister/mom. Given that my office building is attached to a mall, I spend a good deal of time in said mall every day — I’m walking off my lunch calories, selfishly window shopping, or feeding the caffeine addiction.

First world problems; the struggle is real! Needless to say, I’ve had to start leaving my wallet in my desk drawer at lunch, so my aimless wandering doesn’t turn into paychecks being spent before they even hit my account.

Today, as I was walking off my lunch, I ducked into Sephora. After I got past my want of everything in sight, I decided I could toss these items (along with a lot of other little items on my wish list) into a gift giving guide to help you pick out a gift for all of your indecisive female friends! There’s everything you need from fashion finds to fitness friendly items. Surely you can find something for that someone on your list this year!

And so, the Love.Life.Fashion. Holiday Gift Giving Guide is born:

Last week I was browsing on Pinterest and I came across an absolutely unbelievable look. It was the embodiment of Autumn/Winter. It was absolute perfection. The femininity of the cable-knit jumper contrasted against the leather leggings brought me to my knees; It was love at first sight.

Have a look at the original blog post for yourself and tell me you don’t also fall head-over-heels in love with this look! From the talent over at Could I Have That, “Underestimated” is the title of her post and although it may be from winter 2014, it is such a timeless, classic look that it NEEDS to be a staple in every wardrobe! (Perfect title for a blog too, huh?)

And so today, I set out to create a similar look of my own, both one that every gal could afford, as well as the lavish one that every gal dreams about. (Because hey, it’s nice to have dreams, right?)

I hope you find the look as captivating as I did! And of course, if you fall in love with anything you see, click on the photo and head over to Polyvore to source the site for purchase.

Fall Faves - Budget vs High Fashion

How do you plan to style your Autumn/Winter wardrobe? Did you love the look? Shoot me a tweet!

Until next time,

It was a rather warm, sunny day here in Dublin yesterday so I decided to be bold and opt for colour, and short sleeves today!

The color purple has been associated with royalty, power and wealth for centuries. What is it about the colour purple? It delights me; it works for me; it does things for me! Is it the royal or power associations that do it for me? Either way, I love it. And it loves me.

(A huge thank you to my co-worker for snapping the photo!)

And all my fitness efforts are starting to pay off as I even love the belt that might otherwise fall at a spot I’d rather keep hidden! I love a belt, and I love ruffles — have I maybe mentioned I love this dress? (I took this photo at the end of the workday, so my make-up is practically nonexistent, so, let’s call this look au naturale!)

Outfit Details

Dress: The Limited

Tights: Dunnes ladder resist in neutral

Heels: Marks and Spencer

How do you feel about purple? Is it a colour you wear often?

I have a very special preview post coming your way tomorrow, so stay tuned and check back! XOXO – K

Out of Office

May 6, 2014 — Leave a comment

Most of my lovely readers know I’m on holiday already from the overload of Facebook photos I’ve put up when I’ve had internet capabilities.

For the rest of you who happen upon my blog, know that I do post more frequently, but for now am choosing to enjoy my Tuscan holiday!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love polka dots? Oh, I’m sure I have–speak up now!And if I haven’t mentioned it –though I’m sure I have–my outfit posts over the last few months have probably been a tell-tale sign!

Over Christmas, I happened upon a sleeveless denim blouse that was both distressed and polka dots at Francescas. Who wouldn’t take the opportunity to snag a fun piece like that? I honestly had no idea what I would pair said blouse with, but I knew I had to have it!

I’m not the type that would normally go for a double denim outfit, but considering I had to wake up at 4 AM to catch a flight this past weekend, I was aiming to pair comfort with style for the long day ahead and decided to rock the denim on denim. If you saw any of my tweets over the weekend, you know I headed off to Holland for an amazing flower display at Keukenhof. (HINT: Friday’s post may or may not be all about it!)

OOTD - 4.20.14

OK, so ignore my shoes, really. I walked about 10K around all the fields and at 4AM when I got up to get dressed, these runners were the logical choice! The rest of the look is comprised of a basic white tee from Penny’s, Forever 21 dark blue denim skinnies, and an infamous pair of sunnies from TJ Maxx.

I didn’t feel much like make-up at 4 AM (I mean, geez, I didn’t want to wake up any earlier than necessary!), but I did throw some mascara & lipstick in my handbag for the car ride. One can make or break a look with just mascara and lipstick–so I always say. 🙂

It was an absolutely stunning day, in an amazingly beautiful place and I cannot wait to get the travel post written up to share with you later this week. Until then, enjoy the pink and orange display here.

Until next time. XOXO – K
